We Be Jammin'

Students participated in a double elimination class Kan Jam tournament.  Kan Jam is a great way to get outside for some summer time activity.  Easy to learn...easy to play!  Teamwork is key as your partner relies on you to hit their throw into and at the can in order to score 1,2, or 3 possible points.  Perfect throw through the front slot and you win automatically!

Floor hockey is one of the easiest ways to begin teaching the young ones key terms and concepts including offense, defense, space, separation, passing, teamwork, positioning, scoring, object control, and most importantly self-control (no high sticking!).  

So much better when we work together!

 Students were asked to work in small groups to put together a creative routine incorporating movements they had previously learned in class.
